UNDERSTAND IT EASILY AND TURN IT INTO A POSITIVE EXISTENTIAL TOOL: STUDY, WORK, INCLUSION, KNOWLEDGE, AWARENESS.

TO PROTECT AGAINST THE IVTH INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION.
COURSES AT ALL LEVELS, FOR ALL AGES WITH CONTINUED SUPPORT.

I have always been fascinated by Communication, a passion that has accompanied me throughout my existence. I have always considered teaching to be one of the most shining components of the latter because, communicating knowledge and seeing in the student’s eyes the first gleams of satisfaction sparked by the realisation that they are finally beginning to understand, is an emotion that can make you in tune with the universal laws of creation.

My strong point is computer science, a subject that is both decisive in the job search and difficult to approach in the right way. Tied to this undeniable difficulty are both the digital divide, the segregation of all individuals who, orphaned of the necessary skills, find themselves on the margins of society, and the misuse that our young people make of it, which inevitably leads them to be exposed to many dangers.

It should be emphasised that we are faced with the definition of a fourth vital skill known as the ‘computational mind’ . This skill is all the more to be added to the three traditional ones, reading, writing and speaking, as it is decisive in our daily lives.

In short, after 30 years of experience and study, the undersigned has developed a teaching methodology that can easily introduce students to a world that, while they should never underestimate, they must also draw on an adequate toolbox (skills) in order to make balanced and efficient use of Information Science.

KNOWLEDGE IS ONLY POWER IF IT IS SHARED. KNOWLEDGE MUST ELEVATE, NOT DIVIDE. THEREFORE BEYOND APPEARANCE, THE DESIRE TO QUESTION MYSELF BEFORE PROPOSING SOLUTIONS TO OTHERS.

Franco Bagaglia

I am pleased to be speaking about myself as a computer expert and classical culture enthusiast. My passion for technology and humanism led me to become a proponent of Digital Humanism.

I am a keen observer of society, and I believe that technology can be used very effectively to enhance the user experience and promote personal growth. I am convinced that digital humanism can help people become more aware of themselves and their behaviour, handle difficult situations better and improve interpersonal relationships.

Digital humanism challenges the algorithm

The juxtaposition of these two words might seem an oxymoron. What do the opposites zero and one, protagonists of the binary system, have to do with our nuanced and emotional human world? Humanism was a cultural movement that arose during the Renaissance, the defining element was placing man at the centre of the universe. Six centuries later, ubiquitous technology and our ‘splintered memory’ must still be kept at bay with an anthropocentric approach.

Infosphere and hyperhistory

the infosphere model can be used to describe past history as an evolution of the dissemination of information over time, and how this dissemination has influenced society and culture in different historical epochs.the term ‘hyperhistory’ refers to the rapidity with which changes occur and the great speed at which new historical information is produced in the digital age.

Collective Intelligence

This decentralised system makes it possible to share access to information more fairly and transparently, avoiding centralisation and promoting a form of widespread collective intelligence.

Philosophy of information

Information philosophy uses information theory to better understand the nature of information and its role in our lives.

Information ecology

Information ecology studies the dynamics of information flow, production, circulation and consumption in complex digital environments. For example, how can information diversity be preserved? How to reduce cognitive fragmentation? How to support ethical business models?

Information ethics

Information has become ubiquitous in our daily lives, but its collection and use can raise complex ethical issues. Privacy in the digital age has become an increasingly pressing concern for individuals, making information ethics a key field of study.

Educating Man in Technology

Technology must therefore understand man, states the movement, while also recognising that it is human duty to understand technology. “Education about IT and its impact on society must start as early as possible”, through schools and universities. How many of us are able to write programmes, or even understand software and platform workflows?

We have a computer in our pocket that floods us with information, but most of us have no idea where the information comes from, or why it reaches us and not our neighbour.
Digital humanism must educate the new generations to combine e-skills with an awareness of ethical and social issues. combinare le competenze informatiche con la consapevolezza delle questioni etiche e sociali. Only then can we avoid a Matrix-like future, or more prosaically avoid surrendering our consciousness to tech devices.
